Checks are made in over thirty different trade mark, domain name, charity and other specialist registers to ensure your UK or global brand name is available to take to the next stage of ownership. Trade mark checking is something we consider essential to most naming projects.

Linguistic analysis
Our cognitive brand profiling uses a range of techniques, including the academic discipline of psycholinguistics, which can put a numerical value on an English name's individuality and thus memorability. Ask us for scores for some major brand names. This technique replicates the cognitive processes by which we see and hear a name. A new semiotics.

Global name evaluation

This is a two stage process using a 7 point, academically researched, scale of evaluating potential brand names. The lowest levels are removed by our Electric Eel negative filter. On the ground linguists, who are resident in the homeland of their specialist language, then carry out a more refined analysis based on the brief.
